NAFA Concert Series: Battle • Dance • Serenade
Students from the School of Music’s Strings programme will showcase their technical prowess and artistry in a captivating concert.

Essence Of Lines
I’m privileged to produce this experience with my fellow creatives— Gildon Choo as assistant producer, Chen Jie Xiao (Director of MIAO Dance) and Dayn Ng (Sound/Visual Designer) as collaborators, as well as students at NAFA Qiqin Lim and Erlyn Alexander. With the support and partnership of Black Earth Art Museum and Recital Studio, the multi-sensory works will redefine the presentation of harp through a two-part interactive experience. Where do the lines meet between dance, electronics, calligraphy, and music?

The Philharmonic Orchestra - Sibelius Complete Symphonies III: Symphonies 5, 6 & 7
The Philharmonic Orchestra, helmed by Artistic Director Lim Yau, rounds up the full Sibelius Symphonies cycle in our third and final instalment, with sunrises, snowscapes, and starfields painted with sound on silence in his Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh symphonies.
Jean Sibelius’ greatest and most “intensely felt response to nature and environment” would manifest in music. After the passionate nationalism of his first three symphonies and the grim Fourth, Sibelius and Finland marked his fiftieth birthday with the magnificent swan-song inspired Fifth symphony. Then with the elemental Sixth, followed (fresh with the scent of “first snow”) swiftly by the Seventh (“symphonic fantasy” and solemn love-letter to his wife), permanently concluded his contribution to the symphonic genre.
